2022 Annual Translational and Transformative Informatics Symposium

The UAB Informatics Institute and Center for Clinical and Translational Science invites you to attend the 6th Annual Translational and Transformative Informatics Symposium (ATTIS)! This year’s symposium will be held Friday, April 22 virtually on Zoom. ATTIS 2022 offers faculty, postdoc trainees, and graduate students an opportunity to report progress on the latest informatics research and applications in biomedical sciences. Keynote presentation, scientific talks, flash informatics tool presentation, educational panel, single-cell analysis and data science toolkit tutorials, poster presentations, and informatics gateways will be offered.

Open registration for participation. We are happy to announce that the 2022 9th Annual Louisiana Conference on Computational Biology and Bioinformatics will take place virtually on April 21-23, 2022. Deadline extended for abstracts/registration to April 5th.

Virtual Omics Research Symposium

We are glad to announce the upcoming symposium on March 31 & April 01, 2022, bringing together students, researchers, faculty, and industry to discuss recent advances in omics data and bioinformatics. Discussions will highlight challenges involved in research using computational tools for big data, opportunities in this outgrowing field, and applications of the advances in various fields - such as clinical, pharma & biotech, research, and agriculture. The symposium will be accompanied by a poster presentation session and competition, awarding prizes and giving a stage to students, faculty, and research teams to present their research work and get expert feedback.

LBRN Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information

December 21, 2021: Gov. John Bel Edwards today extended Louisiana’s Public Health Emergency order related to COVID-19, including a provision allowing all state government agencies to require mask wearing, given the fast-spreading Omicron variant, which is now the dominant strain in the United States and Louisiana according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). State agencies in the Governor’s Cabinet will begin requiring masks of employees and visitors. See Governer’s statement for more information:
