NIH Maximizing Opportunities for Scientific and Academic Independent Careers (MOSAIC)

The Maximizing Opportunities for Scientific and Academic Independent Careers (MOSAIC) funding opportunity announcements (FOAs) have been reissued. MOSAIC, a trans-NIH initiative that NIGMS oversees, has two components: a postdoctoral career transition award (K99/R00), and a cohort-based mentoring and career development program that supports the scholars (UE5 research education cooperative agreement).

Virtual Omics Research Symposium

August 21-22, 2021: Online Symposium Dedicated to the Latest Advances in Omics Technologies, Bioinformatics Analysis and Project-based Education.

The virtual research symposium is an opportunity for students, faculty and companies to come together and discuss advances in bioinformatics. In the sessions, speakers will highlight advanced new areas for bioinformatics as a discipline, offer students and faculty insight into best practices for mastering bioinformatics skills and allow them to explore career opportunities in academia and industry.

LBRN 2021 Virtual Summer Research Program

LBRN is pleased to make available our 2021 Virtual Summer Program Opportunities for LBRN participants. This program is in place of our regular summer program, which was cancelled due to COVID-19. This program will proceed in various virtual/online formats with support from Pine BioTech Partner.

4th LBRN-LONI Scientific Computing Bootcamp

Scientific computing is becoming more ubiquitous for all types of research areas. Skills and knowledge that are necessary to take full advantage of the power of computing, however, are often inadequately present in both curricular and extracurricular training. The purpose of this workshop is, by both presentation and hands-on experiences, to help attendants understand the usage of popular scientific computing programming tools and prepare for their future computational study and research career.
