The LBRN training platform is developed and operated by the Division of Biotechnology and Molecular Medicine (BioMMed) at the School of Veterinary Medicine (SVM), Louisiana State University- Baton Rouge, LA.
The BBC Core provides access to introductory lecture series on Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, and Computational Biology topics.
LBRN Cores host various one or two day workshops throughout the year where researchers, faculty, graduate and undergraduate students are invited to attend. Topics range from computational bioinformatics to protein purification, etc.

The purpose of this workshop is, by both presentation and hands-on experiences, to help attendants understand the usage of popular scientific computing programming tools and prepare for their future computational study and research career.

LBRN/BioMMED is having a 3-day Illumina training schedule that will begin on Tuesday, August 27th (Day 1 on the schedule), Wednesday, August 28th (Day 2), and Thursday, August 29th (Day 3). This training is provided by Illumina for the newly acquired MiSeq and NextSeq sequencing instruments.
