LSU Baton Rouge and Tulane University faculty, graduate students and undergraduate students are not eligible to apply.

The Department of Biological Sciences at Louisiana State University, in conjunction with the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS)'s IDeA Networks of Biomedical Research Excellence, and Louisiana Board of Regents, is hosting research opportunities for eligible faculty and students, both graduate and undergrad in the Biological and Computational Sciences. Those interested in working on projects at the interface between the biological and computational sciences are encouraged to apply to this program. Work will be done in established laboratories, with interaction among scientists and peers. Of special focus is providing research opportunities to faculty and students from primarily undergraduate institutes in the state of Louisiana.
