October 29-30, 2015
This year’s workshop is being held on Thursday and Friday, October 29-30, 2015 at LSU in Baton Rouge, Wilson Laboratories conducted by the LBRN Molecular and Cell Biology Resources Core..
We would like to invite researchers, faculty, graduate and undergraduate students from our PUI institutions to attend.
Theme: Protein - Purification, Binding, Interaction and Structure Prediction and Modelling.
Topics will include:
- Expression and purification of Polyhistidine/GST-tagged proteins by Profinia™ Affinity Chromatography Protein Purification System
- Demonstrate the down stream application of these purified proteins such as in binding and pull-down assays.
- Hands-on training about the use of different chips and their immobilization condition when using Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) in protein-protein interactions (BIACORE X-100).
- Protein Structure Modelling – A Hands-On Demo, PyMol.
Workshop training conducted by:
Dr. Muzammel Haque and Dr. Michal Brylinski
